Founded in the 7th century BC, the city of Durres has been conquered by many invading armies. Although most of these left a few traces in the old town of Durres, the main attraction is the excellent beach near the town. Perhaps the most famous of Albanian beaches, it offers shallow waters close to the shore, which makes it very suitable for families and children.

Kosovo, one of Europe’s youngest countries, offers visitors a glimpse into a landscape marked by resilience and rich tradition. The capital, Pristina, blends modern life with historical landmarks such as the Imperial Mosque, built in the 15th century, and the National Library, known for its unique architectural style. Oruro, city in western Bolivia, capital of Oruro Department, located on a plateau about 3700 m (about 12,140 ft) above sea level. Oruro is a major railroad junction and an important commercial and processing center in a mineral, especially tin, mining area. Industries in the city include tin smelting and shoe and clothing manufacture. The Technical University of Oruro (1892) is here. Oruro was settled about 1595 by Spaniards interested in its silver deposits.

Elmina is a coastal town in southern Ghana, located along the Gulf of Guinea in the Central Region. The town is closely tied to the Atlantic fishing industry, with large numbers of brightly painted wooden canoes lining the shoreline each morning.
