Addu City is the southernmost urban area of the Maldives, spread across six inhabited islands at the southern end of Addu Atoll. Located close to the Equator, it differs from many Maldivian destinations through its larger islands, interconnected roads, local neighborhoods, wetlands, and established communities. Hithadhoo, the largest district, contains much of the city’s population and natural landscape, while Gan is home to Gan International Airport.
Pondicherry is a coastal town in southern India that still carries traces of its French colonial past. The French Quarter, or White Town, is filled with mustard-yellow buildings, iron-laced balconies, and streets with French names. Visitors can explore this area on foot or by bicycle, stopping at spots like the 18th-century Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges, built in Greco-Roman style, or the French Consulate, which continues to operate from a colonial-era building.
Chilean Patagonia is a vast southern region extending from the fjords and forests of Aysén to the mountains, steppes, and channels of Magallanes. Rather than a single destination, it encompasses remote towns, national parks, glaciers, islands, and long stretches of sparsely settled landscape. The Carretera Austral provides one of its main overland routes, linking places such as Coyhaique, Puerto Río Tranquilo, and Villa O’Higgins through forests, rivers, mountains, and fjords.
Sharing a common lagoon with Raiatean and accessible only by boat, Taha'a produces about 80% of all vanilla in French Polynesia. Taha'a is the only island in the Society Islands that can be completely circled by boat inside the protected lagoon. With its many deep bays and small deserted motus on the reef, Taha'a is an ideal island to escape the 20th century. Here you can explore the reef and discover the beauty of its multicolored lagoon, enjoy a picnic on a deserted
motu or go hiking in the mountains and through the vanilla plantations and learn the mystery of these "orchids". With only a handful of guest houses and small hotels, Taha'a is slowly awakening to tourism and yet it still maintains an authentic flavor of Polynesia.
